Princes Elizabeth . CTA 51

Princes Elizabeth was a trawler laid down by Welton & Gemmel Cook  Ltd in Beverley in England, and was launched in 1961 for Boston Deepsea Fishing & Ice. She was sold to Irwin & Johnson Ltd in Cape Town in 1969. She was badly damaged by a fire, and was later written off as a total loss. She was rigged down and prepared to be scuttled as an artificial reef and dive target in Smitswinkel Bay. She was towed out of the harbor and scuttled 27. June 1983. The wreck rest today on a depth of 30 to 36 meter. Also see the wreck of Rockeater.
