Albatros
was a fishing boat built by Costaguta in Tigre, Buenos
Aires, and was launched in 1967. She served in the fishing
industry until her owner got in financial problems in the
1990's, and was laid up and abandoned in Puerto Madryn.
After years laying idle and slowly decaying, she was taken
over by the local authorities and scuttled as an
artificial reef and dive attraction outside the harbor in
Golfo Nuevo 22. September 1998. The wreck rest today
standing on her keel with a slight listing like a classic
Donald Duck wreck on a depth of 25 to 30 meter. Also see
the wreck of Antonio Miralles.
