Molda was a general cargo ship built by Deutsch Schiff & Maschinenbau Weser AG in Bremen, and was launched in 1937 for the Norwegian company Mowinckel Rederi AS. She survived Second World War and was sold in 1963 to Kierland AS and renamed Fana. Two years later she was sold again, this time to the Greek company Coutsodondis who named her Captain Leonidas. In an attempt to sink her and claim insurance money, she run aground in the Messier Channel7. April 1968. As the story goes, the scam was obvious and the captain went to jail. The wreck still stand high on the reef, clearly visible on the surface in Messier Channel.
