Fortuna was a whale catcher laid down as yard number 51 at Framnæs Mekaniske Verksted in Norway, and was launched in 1904. She was delivered to the owner Compania Argentina de Pesca the same year, and was put in service in the antarctic waters and was the first whale catcher to be active in South Georgia. She ran aground at Hope Point outside Grytviken 14. May 1916 and was broken down. Her remains rest today in shallow waters and down to a depth of five meters, partly visible from the surface at low tide. Also see the wreck of Louise in Grytviken.
