Brazil,South America

CV Iparanga was a Mariner class corvette built in Rotterdam in Holland, and was launched in October 1953. She was commissioned in the Brazilian navy in June the following year. She ran aground at Cabeco da Sapata 17.October 1982 and took severe damage to the hull. Stuck for hours the crew had plenty of time to abandon ship before she went down in the deep. The wreck rest today standing on her keel as a classic Donald Duck wreck on a depth of approximately 55 to 62 meter at Fernando de Noronha.
