The
Brazilian corvette CV Iparanga was built in Rotterdam in
Holland and launched in October 1953. She was commissioned
in the Brazilian navy in June the year after. She ran
aground 17.October 1982 and took damage to the hull and
sank many hours later outside the coast in open waters
outside Brasil. The wreck rest today on a depth of 55 to
60 meter, approx 180 nautical miles outside Brasil at
Fernando de Noronha.
