Under a journey from Puerto Ray to Puerto Mitre loaded with aviation fuel and ammunition, she was engaged by the British frigate HMS Alacrity outside Swan Islands 11. May 1982. She was hit several times by gun fire which ignited her cargo and set her full ablaze. She soon after exploded and disappeared in the deep, with only two survivors of her crew of 24 men. The wreck rest today on a depth of 18 to 31 meter north of Swan Island.
