Principessa Mafalda

Principessa Mafalda was a ocean liner built in Sestri Levante in Italy, and was launched in October 1908. She sank outside Porto Seguaro 25.October 1927 under a voyage from Genoa to Buenos Aires with 971 passengers. They experienced mechanical problems and in the evening they lost one of the propellers. An emergency signal was sent but later that same night she sank in the deep with her stern first. According to local divers the remains of her rest today on a depth of 12 to 20 meter outside Porto Seguaro.
