Santa Leonor

USS Riverside was built for US Navy as an attack-tranport ship and launched in April 1944. She was put in service in the Pacific with transport of military personel. After the war she did several tours with transport of soldiers back to USA, and was stricken from the navy lists in May 1946. Two years later she was sold to Argentina and renamed P&T Forrester. In the coming years she changed name and owners several times before she grounded and was wrecked in Smyth Channel 31.March 1968. The wreck still lies partly submerged, with the stern sticking up above the surface on the southwest side of Isla Isabel.
