Walsa
was a tug boat built by Maclaren in Rio De Janeiro, and
was launched in 1968. She served for the company Industria
Agencia de Navegação - Wilson Brothers as a harbor tug for
decades, until she was decommissioned in the 1990's. She
was then rigged down and prepared to be scuttled as an
artificial reef outside Pernambuco. She was the 10th
vessel in line to be scuttled in the maritime park, and
disappeared in the deep about ten nautical miles outside
Recife 28. May 2009. The wreck rest today standing on her
keel like a classic Donald Duck wreck on a depth of 30 to
42 meter.
